upstairs bathroom vanity and tile




The bathroom sink, countertop, faucet, and such are finally in place, although the humans tell me the plumbing is not connected and therefore they cannot leave the water running to amuse me.

Instead, perhaps I will amuse myself by making claw-prints in the fresh grout between the floor tiles.

The last of the kitchen cabinets



Two glass-front cabinets at Ari's eye level, so that she has no excuse for being unable to find the kitty treats. There will be lights inside these cabinets to assist her, as well as lights under them to shine on the counter.

the final floor tile

Whenever a grand archway is constructed, the honor of placing the keystone is always reserved for a respected leader or sage. My humans have continued this tradition by permitting me to lay the final tile.

big kitchen tiles

The threshhold has been stained and the 16" tiles for the rest of the kitchen floor have been cut. My fellow inmates inspect the threshhold. Meanwhile, off camera, I will determine whether the tile spacers are good to eat.

first row of tiles


The row of smaller reddish trim tiles around the edges has been cut. Bigger white tiles will fill in the rest of the space. The wood threshhold between kitchen and living room is new too.

New door between house and garage


The new door is fire-rated and weighs about as much as Ari does. It feels much more solid than the old one. I enjoy scurrying through it when the humans are not looking. I am convinced there is something in the garage which must be investigated, though I don't know what it is. Perhaps a dead mouse.

low-tech blogging


I much prefer the old-fashioned pen and paper method, but will learn to adapt to the new technology. My person's laptop is nice and warm, and I enjoy sleeping on it. This will probably sway my opinion significantly.
